An evaluation of a multitouch pointing device in 3D First-Person Shooter (FPS) games. $108 The pointing device used in a First-Person Shooter (FPS) game is critical because it must facilitate the player’s ability to control the character in the game’s 360-degree virtual environment. The control capability of the pointing device in games of this nature can ultimately make the difference between winning and losing. This thesis explores the viability of an advanced touchpad (a FingerWorks Multitouch Pad) as a pointing device in a FPS game. More specifically, the study involved programming the touchpad and testing its playability against a conventional gaming mouse and a constructed hybrid of the two devices. The results of the tests concluded that although the touchpad and hybrid are viable options as input devices for these types of games, their performance was inferior to a conventional gaming mouse. Additionally, the hybrid design outperformed the touchpad, which suggests that it is easier for a player to control a FPS game character when manipulating a physical object as an input device rather than with his hands alone on a touchpad.

How Far Can Hybrid Golf Clubs Hit?

Hybrids golf clubs–which are a mix between irons and woods–are much easier to hit and often produce more consistent shots than standard clubs. They are so effective that nearly all touring professionals carry at least one hybrid in their golf bags. Hybrids are much easier to control than fairway woods or long irons and since they are easy to swing they can give the golfer more distance as well.

 The amount of distance you can get on a shot is determined by factors including loft angle, length and the weighting of the club. However, the biggest single factor is swing speed. The hybrid clubs are lighter than all fairway woods and most irons, so the golfer is capable of getting greater swing speed. As a result, the lighter hybrid club is often capable of getting an additional 10 to 20 yards of distance over your standard clubs. Here is the average distance for an average golfer (18- handicap) with hybrid clubs and the clubs they are replacing:

German men, the world’s worst lovers?

German men are the world’s worst lovers. This the results from a poll carried out by a global research site, which asked women from 20 countries to rate nations on their ability in bed and give reasons for their answers.

German men have been voted the world’s worst lovers, narrowly beating English men to the unwanted title.

A poll of 15,000 women found that Germans are considered “too smelly”.

English lovers came second because they are so lazy, while men from Sweden were branded “too quick to finish” and came third.

A spokesperson added “These results are an eye-opener for thousands of men around the world and female travelers might judge potential new lovers by looking at these results.”

Spanish men topped the table as the best lovers, followed by Brazilians and Italians.
