What is a Hybrid Vehicle?

Simply stated, a hybrid vehicle is one that utilizes more than one source of energy to move or propel the vehicle. Depending upon the type of vehicle in question, it may utilize a combination of many different types of energy sources. Some of the most commonly used energy sources in hybrid vehicles include:

• Petrol or Diesel
• Rechargeable Energy Storage System
• Electricity
• Natural Gas
• Compressed Air
• Human Power (pedaling, etc.)

Human powered hybrid vehicles are perhaps illustrations of the simplest use of the hybrid technology. For instance, a moped is a human powered hybrid vehicle. It utilizes an electrical motor or an internal combustion engine along with the mechanical energy created by the pedaling done by the rider. However, in recent times, new technology is available in the form of hybrid cycles. The pedaling of the rider creates energy, which gets converted into electricity which then powers the motor, but also charges the battery. It is then possible for the motor to also use battery power. Such cycles are currently available in the market.

Should be a fairly simple but a slightly lengthy, 2 part question:

1) Are MTG hybrids (with the dual color cards, like Deathbringer Liege) considered to be both colors? For instance, Deathbringer Liege is a black/white hybrid, is it considered to be both a white and a black creature?

2a) For the Deathbringer Liege’s abilities:
Other white creatures get 1/ 1
Other black creatures get 1/ 1 …
if the creature is a black/white hybrid, does it get a 2/ 2 bonus?
2b)Does the ability also work on the Deathbringer Liege itself (making it a 4/4 creature)?
2c)If you had multiple Deathbringer Lieges out, would this ability stack (if you had 2 deathbringer lieges out, would there be a 2/ 2 bonus to all white, 2/ 2 to all black, and potentially 4/ 4 to all white/black creatures)?
Correction, Deathbringer Liege is 3/4, so I’m wondering if it’d be a 5/6 instead.

Let’s go through this one at a time:
1) Yes, hybrid cards are considered to be both colors at all times.

2) Yes, if the creature is both black and white, then it gets +2/+2.

2b) No, the ability clearly states “Other … get +1/+1” This means that the bonus applies to all creature other than the liege itself.

2c) Yes, if you had two lieges, then the bonus of each will apply to each other, making them both 5/6 and very powerful. All black and white creature you control will get +4/+4, making them a lot more powerful as well.
