A golf rule question?
if you hit a yardage maker (ours is a post about 3 foot high)on the edge of the fairway. do you get to re hit without penalty? i hit ours today, it was about 15 feet in front of me when i hit hit.
As everyone has indicated, you do not get a do over. At my home course there is a tee shot that crosses some telephone wires and if you hit those you are required to rehit, regardless of where the ball goes. But that is a local rule, not a USGA rule.
