Fairway Woods
 A lot of golf players are puzzled as to how they can hit fairway woods, mastering this technique is part of mastering the game and becoming more efficient at it.

In order for one to hit fairway woods they need to make sure that the position of the ball is correct. The ball position would play a major part in your success. The ball needs to be placed about 2 inches behind the left heel if you are a right hand player. This positioning is enough to allow the ball to propel forward and ensures that it will have a solid contact.

Be smooth on your moves and how you plan the shot; visualize how you want it to happen. Learn how to hit fairway woods by watching the pros, watch them and take in the energy of the game. It is crucial to learn by heart that the longer the club the higher the importance of the tempo matches the speed of your downswing with your backswing that you may have a better tempo.
Keep in mind to avoid lifting the ball into the air, hitting fairway woods is really hit high. There is no need to put too much effort in this move. It would be better to strike the ball down to get the ball rising faster.
Learning this technique would help you immensely especially during crunch time. Do this by making sure that your feet are correctly placed and shoulder length apart from the ball. When your arms are already extended and your spine is already upright the ball should also be positioned slightly forward.
If you are hitting out of the rough, you can choose to tap the head of the club behind the ball. In doing so you can allow grass to serve as a safeguard between the club head and the ball. Just commit to memory not to hit the ball while doing this trick to avoid breaking any rules.
Perform swing posture many times a day; remember to practice until you get it. The forward arm must stay straight, the hips and the legs must be able to turn through the entire shot, the backswing and downswing as well so that you can produce a magnificent shot. Balance and control is essential. You have to lay down head still and your eyes focused on the ball.
You need to understand how to use the fairway woods clubs, there are certain terrains and locations where it will not function as good. This placed would include a spot where weeds are prevalent. It is better to go a good distance from the green to be able to cover ground.

If they do not replace the fairway woods, which fairway woods should I keep? The 3wood and 5 wood, or possibly the 7 wood? Thanks!
If begining, I would suggest keeping the woods 3-7, the hybrids take the place of long irons like the 2,3,4 irons
