Checking your car’s wiper fluid is not at all difficult. It can be done in just a few minutes or less. And though it may seem like something that is pointless, you won’t be thinking so if you run out of it while you are traveling behind a large vehicle on dirty roads. When your windshield is covered in dirt and you cannot clean it, you will be wishing that you would taken a look at your windshield wiper fluid after all. It can put you in danger if you are driving with limited vision because you cannot see properly and could cause an accident.

Finding your car’s windshield washer fluid reservoir is incredibly easy. It is usually right at the front under the hood so that you can easily reach it. It is clearly labeled on all new cars though it may not be as clearly labeled on older cars. If you really are not sure where it is, try looking in your car owner manual or do a Google search regarding your model of car for assistance. There are many diagrams that show you where to find components like this beneath the hood of your car.

There are different types of windshield wiper fluid. Some people make the mistake of putting water in during the summer. This can be bad when winter hits because any remaining water in the reservoir line will end up freezing. It is a better idea to use the kind that is already mixed from the store. That way, there is some alcohol in it and then there will be no risk of freezing. There is a good chance that mixed wiper fluid will cleanse dirt off better as well.

To check the fluid level in the fluid reservoir, simply open your hood and take a look. Prop it up so that you do not have the hood drop down. The reservoir should be very clearly marked. You should be able to see how full the reservoir is. If it as full as the half line or more, then you likely do not need to top it up. If it is full enough, just close the hood and call it a job well done.

If the windshield washer fluid seems to be low then you should add it up to the full line. Just pour it straight in. Use a funnel if you feel the need to. Some vehicles have wiper fluid reservoirs that have a wide enough hole that you do not need a funnel to pour in new fluid. However, it is better to use one than to risk spilling windshield wiper fluid all over your engine.

It is a good idea to look over the entire wiper reservoir for any sign of leaks or damage before you close the hood. If there is a problem of any kind, you should have it looked at by a professional, immediately if the car is still on warranty. Check your wiper fluid regularly, especially during seasonal changes. Keep it topped up because having a clear windshield is essential.

why do my ears feel plugged and i can hear fluid when i swallow?

This happened about 5 years ago and again last year. Does anyone know what may be going on. I am thinking allergies. The farmers are working in the fields all around me.
