1. Make sure that you have a powerful setup with your driver. When you address the ball your right shoulder should be lower than your left (for right handed players) and the ball should be opposite your left foot. This puts you in an ideal position to launch the ball higher with low spin in order to get maximum distance.
2. You should focus on a wide takeaway and smooth transition into the downswing. These two moves will improve your tempo, which is crucial to hitting a driver well. This is one of the great golf driver swing tips that often gets overlooked, because it is so simple!
3. The third thing that you need to do is make sure that you your swing stays simple. Trying to complicate the golf swing is only going to make things worse, and you should concentrate on just one swing thought during your round. The more simple the method the better the results are going to be, and this is what many golfers fail to realize.

What is the best blockhead/squarehead golf driver?
I’m looking to find a quality squarehead driver. No price range, i’m very open. I’ve always used squareheads so I’ll stay with them.
I’ve been on the course around almost 20 times. I can hit a straight drive consistently 150-170m and at times 200m. I feel I’m not getting enough distance with all the power i use.
The newest is the callaway FT-IQ. That and the Nike are the only ones that get any play on tour.
