The Salsa, along with its sibling device the HTC Chacha, represents what could be the latest craze in the world of smartphones. Although smartphones have for some time now come with Facebook support as a standard feature, the Salsa is the first attempt by a phone manufacturer to take this to a whole new level by making Facebook one of its central design features. Welcome to the new era of ‘Facebook Phones’.
The most obvious feature that marks the Salsa out as a Facebook phone is the inclusion of a dedicated Facebook button. There are a number of different uses for this button, the most obvious being to open up the Facebook app. But it can also be used in conjunction with other phone features, such as the camera. Take a picture on the Salsa’s 5 megapixel camera, tap the Facebook button and you can have the image quickly uploaded to your Facebook profile.
As well as providing quick access to Facebook through a dedicated app, the Salsa comes with many more Facebook features woven into its interface. The 5 megapixel camera comes with an LED flash and features such as geo-tagging and face detection. what is the difference?
between a ti-84 plus calculator and a ti-84 plus SE calculator.. besides the price obv. im a junior in highschool and i need a graphing calculator, my teacher said the reg one would be fine, but if im gunna need this SE crap eventually might as well get it now right?
There aren’t many. The differences in a nutshell:
- SE has more Flash memory. This means more Archive space and the ability to store more apps.
- Comes with more preloaded apps (including the Periodic Table, PuzzPack, Transfrm, Inequalz, etc). I say preloaded because you could easily download and transfer them to a regular TI-84 Plus with the USB cable that comes with it.
- SE has the ability to change faceplates. Don’t want a gray calculator? Switch the faceplate to a blue one (sold separately).
If you think these differences are worth it, go with the TI-84 Plus SE.
