Another new year coming, every manufacturer seems to try their best to release their brand-new product to successfully position their brand in the market. Ping is without exception. In recent years they have adopted a late Summer/early Fall product release schedule. Today our golf store will take Ping’s summer product, Ping K15 Irons for you!

The Ping K15 Irons have been designed to give golfers the ultimate in performance and flexibility. The multi-material design of the K15 includes a lightweight titanium face that has allowed 27 grams to be repositioned to the perimeter of the 17-4 stainless steel club head.

By using this weight to widen the sole the K15 promotes a much higher ball flight even on those unfortunate misshits while also greatly enhancing the moment of inertia (MOI). Confirming completely with the revised R&A groove rules the Ping K15 golf irons feature a larger clubhead to improve forgiveness and deliver a complete game improvement club.

The Ping K15 Irons allow golfers to enjoy a consistent and high trajectory throughout the set with the inclusion of strengthened lofts while golfers can enjoy complete flexibility by choosing to replace the 5 and 6 irons with the 5 and 6 K15 hybrids to create an iron set that is comfortable enough to give you confidence on every shot.

The Ping K15 Irons are available with the AWT (Advanced Weight Technology) steel shafts that provide lighter long iron shafts for better swing speeds and trajectory and heavier short iron shafts for control and penetration.

One of the key features of the K15 set is that the K15 Hybrids have been designed to blend in with the irons, which go up to 5 irons. This offers a direct replacement to the 3 to 6 irons in the K15 set, but it can also be bought as a stand alone hybrid. The K15 hybrids look and play more like and iron than a wood and are available in numbers 3-6 so for higher handicappers we would recommend using the 3 and 4 hybrid and then swapping in the 5 or 6 depending on which you feel more comfortable with as they both perform equally well and are a good match for each other.

The Ping K15 Irons provide an excellent game improvement option and by incorporating the K15 hybrids high handicapper golfers can have a hybrid iron set that matches their game throughout the set. The K15 hybrid is going to be available as a stand alone club, but at the same price as the excellent G15 hybrid so it will actually work out cheaper buying this as part of a K15 set. As hybrid sets go, the K15 iron hybrid set is one of the best, albeit a little on the pricey side.

Can you use standard grips for irons on hybrids?

This may seem like a stupid question, but I don’t know much about club making.

I’m planning on re-gripping my irons, which are Titleist DCI 762′s, but I play with Cleveland Halo hybrids for my 3 and 4 irons. Will standard iron grips work with my hybrids? All my irons, including the hybrids, have True Temper Dynamic Gold stiff shafts in them. I plan on regripping with Winn DSI AVS v-17′s.

I figure standard grips will work, but I keep finding grips specifically for hybrids on ebay, so I just want to make sure. I want to buy a set of 13 grips on ebay so I can re-grip all of my clubs, including my Taylor Made Burner, my Tour Exotic fairway woods, and my cleveland wedges. I plan on having them installed at my local Golfsmith.

same diamiter great choice in grips factory installed grips are not the best quality to begin with . ask the installer to measure tour hands , and inquire about weather you need extra wraps on your grips . may seem like a small matter , but it will help your game , with right sized grip . minor thing major affect ball flight . have good season
