Why is it legal to have “ladies night” at clubs/bars?

Have you ever been to one where it was “guys night”? What did they do? Why are they single out, and if you can do that, then why can’t clubs do “whites night”, “blacks night”, etc. Isn’t ladies night discriminatory?

It’s a really good question and first off, I do NOT have formal training in law so I did some research on the matter. It does seem to be a highly controversial issue to this day and lawsuits about regarding the whether such “lady knight” or Scarlett Knights are in violation of the fourteenth amendment in terms of violating the equal protection clause.

It turns out that a number of attorneys have had varying degrees of success with suits which deal with this sort of thing. Some argue that Lady Nights or Ladies’ Situations simply promote or encourage ladies to come to the pub because these ladies may not ordinarily have the same interest in coming to the pub for drinking. It seems that the bulk of these rulings comes down to judges feeling that such things are not so much exclusionary as they are meant to promote more ladies to come who would otherwise not come to the pub.

It’s certainly unfair, in my opinion, for an establishment to charge differently for the same goods or services to people based on such things as gender or ethnicity. It would be illegal for a physician to charge different rates for a given service to different populations.

The bottom line is that modern Feminists have a profound influence in the legal system and ensure that the law is interpreted in a way that’s selectively beneficial to them and detrimental to men.
