Why wont my Xbox 360 dic drive work?

My friend gave me a xbox that had a broken disc drive. i said i could fix it and I almost did. The problem is that the disc drive’s (Phillips and Lite-On DG-16d2s Drive) spin motor was stiff. So i bought a new and replaced it but the CD/Game will only spin for like 1 second and stop. The coding on the belt of the motors dont match up. the last characters are: The old (stiff) one-304AGP, and the new one- 304BGP. What do i have to do to get this working because i dont have anymore money to spend.
