Belfast Travel & Tourism Guide
The city of Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland. Originally a market town in Belfast has quickly become a dynamic industrial city in the nineteenth century. The city is divided by walls of separation barriers, creating a sharp division between neighborhoods Catholics and Protestants. The walls were placed as not to reduce the level of violence between Protestants and Catholics.
Belfast has many attractions to offer visitors of the city and the level of tourism has increased significantly since 2001. A landmark in the region is the Albert Memorial Clock Tower, which was built in the 1960s after the untimely death of Prince Albert. The tower is biased and leans to one side, however, construction is done to correct this phenomenon in order to stand.
Another historic building is a tourist must visit the castle Belfast! Built in 1870, the castle is open to the general public and there are two elegant restaurants in the castle next to a heritage center, offering local and historical information. Besides this, there is also a playground. From the castle you will find a beautiful view of the city and visitors can take long walks, which lead to the rock, formally known as Napoleon's Nose.
If you want to get into the landscape beautiful garden and the botanical garden is the place to be located near the University of the Queen. Made in 1827, the Botanical Garden is widely known for its Palm House greenhouse where iron and glass is kept in direct collaboration with Kew Gardens in London and the Botanic Gardens in Dublin, and they all share the same creator, Charles Lanyon. Here you will find a variety of tropical plants and roses, and each band years, performing in the summer.
Family fun can be enjoyed the aunt of the Candy Factory, Sandra, where visitors get to see and understand how sweet it was originally made. Once that has been in the candy store to be surrounded by sweet aromas, sounds and images, as the chocolates are all handmade by hundreds of recipes dating back years. The candy store were kept in the same way it did when it opened 50 years ago. Visitors can participate in guided tours and are able to taste the different varieties of candy, making it an enjoyable experience for adults and children, especially if you have a sweet tooth.
For shopping, visit Westfield (Castle Court) shopping center located in the heart of the city. A shopping center is home to many retail stores, including Popular Wallis, Debenhams, TK Maxx, Quicksilver, Dorothy Perkins, Argos, Bay Trading, Gap, New Look, Miss Selfridge, Vero Moda and many other brands more exciting street high. This also has to support restaurants like Subway, Bagel Factory, Starbucks, Juiced, Ben & Jerry Bakery Café and BB can also find restaurants and drinking at Debenhams. Westfield Shopping Centre is open seven days a week, although hours vary each day.
