Are you intereted in Nike SQ Sumo 5000 Driver?
The Nike SQ Sumo 5000 driver has further evolved the leading innovation of geometric design to bring golfers even more distance, forgiveness and accuracy through new record levels of MOI. The Nike SQ Sumo 5000 driver incorporate Nike Golf’s ground breaking geometric science, a design philosophy that has brought moment of inertia to the forefront in golf club technology. The MOI in the new drivers is the science behind straight and long – producing higher, longer, straighter and softer landing shots. The all-titanium Nike SQ Sumo 5000 features updated body shaping to raise its MOI to 5000 g-cm², resulting in greater forgiveness on off-centre hits. The driver also includes new variable weight shafts (55 – 73 grams) for increased head speed and a multi-thickness titanium face to improve ball speed over a larger area.
Now,let’s see how customers say.
“Nike are getting there with the SQ Sumo 5000. This is an improvement on the previous model and the quality of strike is there, but it just doesn’t sound right. The noise at impact if anything has got worse, even worse than the square headed version. Also the ball doesn’t seem to fly of the clubface, more of a dull dunt.”
“Well from going from hitting my old driver about 220 yards at the bounce, I’m now hitting about 250 yards and they are going a lot straighter. I bought the regular shaft so I don’t have to give it all my might when teeing up at the start of a round. It looks good and sounds different but great”
“I purchased this driver after I had been using my Titleist 975J for about 6 years. All I have to say is WOW!! The ball jumped off the face and I couldn’t do anything but hit it straight. The only complaint that i have with it, or should say had, was the ball flight was a bit low. But I re-shafted it with a V2 High Launch and no complaints after that. “

Is there a noticeable difference between the first Nike SQ vs the new SUMO drivers? Do they play the same?
I have the first issue of the SQ and I love it, but I wonder if I should get a new one. I put in the UST V2 shaft, and you can get the new one with it OEM.
im not sure exatcly what you’re looking for in this driver, more forgiveness or workability. The older one has more workability while the new one has more forgiveness due to the higher Moment of Inertia. I prefer the old SQ and i think you should too.
