Question on Golf sets (Adams and Powerbilt)?

I am a beginner at golf and thinking about buying a set of golf clubs. Are Adams tight lies 1012 or 1014 better than Powerbilt grand slams? (I am thinking of buying 1014 but it is $100 more than 1012, are the 1014′s better than the 1012 by a lot?)
Also, which one is better 1012 or 1014. please give details
Can people custom fit club sets? if so, how much does it improve your game?

Definitely go with the Adams. Powerbilt is a brand from the past. If the price is the same, they will at least hold their value over time, and they are simply a better club. Have toured Adams factory and worked with their designers in the past. They are top notch. Great clubs.
