Assuming the fun gun is a rifle, not a handgun. We’re talking about a plinker, rat blaster, can killer, no caliber limitations here, 17 up to 50.

I love an EOTech 55X on top of an AR. I can range with the circle around the aiming dot, use the halo for a drop compensator, and acquire targets quickly without magnification. It’s parallax free so I don’t have to be perfectly lined up with the sight when it’s dead on the target. Scopes are fine past 100 yards and BUIS never fail. But the iron sights are down when the shooting’s fast at the range. The dot is hot.
