Excerpt: Quintus Caecilius Metellus Pius (ca 130 BC or 127 BC 63 BC) was a pro-Sullan state figure. He was named Pius because of his 99 BC petition to return his father from exile and made justice to his cognomen for the constance, frontality and inflexibility with which he always fought for his father’s rehabilitation and return to Rome. He was elected Quaestor in 97 BC, Tribune in 92 and Pontifex Maximus in 81, a Praetor in 89 BC, Consul in 80. He withdrew from Rome during the civil fights between Marius and Sulla, returning afterwards with the latter. As a military figure, he had his first commands in the war in 109-107 BC, when he accompanied his father Quintus Caecilius Metellus Numidicus in Numidia during Jugurthine War, where his father took him as a simple cadet. He was later revealed to be one of the best subordinates of Sulla, but without any other objective than the one of fighting the demagogy with which Marius threatened Rome, never participating in the atrocious violence that marked such a troubled phase of the History of Rome. He was also one of the Roman commanders in the Social War of 90 – 89 BC. A Propraetor at that time, Pius stormed Venusia and killed the general of the Marsi, Quintus Poppaedius Silo. In 87 BC Pius by the order of Senate tried to make peace with the Samnites. Made a Consul in 80 BC, he was then sent to Spain to combat Quintus Sertorius, where Sertorius and Marcus Perpenna Vento faced the Roman power, establishing his bases in Metellinum (today Medellín) Castra Caecilia (today Cáceres), Viccus Caecilius, at the Sierra de Gredos, and at Caeciliana, near Setúbal. During eight years of resistance he was unable to conclusively defeat Sertorius, and it was only after Sertorius’ assassination by his own … More:

Excerpt: Attila is an opera in a prologue and three acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Temistocle Solera, based on the play Attila, König der Hunnen (“Attila, King of the Huns”) by Friedrich Ludwig Zacharias Werner. Initially, Verdi had enlisted Francesco Maria Piave to prepare the libretto, after Verdi’s own scenario. After finding Piave’s work unsatisfactory, Verdi then turned to Solera, but finally returned to Piave for Act III. The opera received its first performance at La Fenice, Venice, on 17 March 1846. Ezio’s aria of heroic resolution “E gettata la mia sorte” is a fine example of a characteristic Verdian genre, and achieved fame in its own time with audiences in the context of the adoption of a liberal constitution by Ferdinand II. Other contemporary comment praised the work as suitable for the “political education of the people”, and in contrast criticised the opera as “Teutonic” in nature. After its world premiere in 1846 at La Fenice in Venice, the opera was first produced in London at Her Majesty’s Theatre in 1848, with Sophie Cruvelli, Italo Gardoni, Velletti, Cruzzoni and in New York City in 1850. In the 20th century, it was revived in concert performance during Venice Festival of 1951 with Mancini, Penno, Giangiacomo, Guelfi, and Italo Tajo, under the conductor Carlo Maria Giulini; and at Sadler’s Wells in London in 1963 (with an English libretto), with Rae Woodland, Donald Smith, Mossfield, and Donald McIntyre, with Muir Mathieson conducting. There was a Rome revival a year later, then productions in Trieste in (1965), in Buenos Aires in (1966), in Berlin in (1971), and in 1972 Attila was performed at the Edinburgh Festival and in Florence. On 21 December 1980, the Vienna State Opera presented a new pro… More:

Why is Purina One and Purina Pro Plan Selects Natural Blends Pro Plan better than the original?

I also think the passage of the Natural mixtures for planning PROPLAN chose, but the turkey instead of chicken (who loves my dog), what do you perfer dogs chicken or turkey?

I would like to change brands all. Purina food is not that great. If you are concerned about cost issues try Canidae. The average of less $ 1 book, and it is much better than Purina. There are dozens of top brands of Purina: Merrick, Wellness, Blue Buffalo, Timberwolf, Chicken Soup, Innova .. the list goes on .. If you want something natural, wellness is a great option. That's what my little girl is running. No artificial flavors or preservatives, no added sugar, not corn .. Golden Rule: If you buy at the grocery store or department, it is likely that food is not very good. Check the ingredients for the food, as would food. Avoid fillers such as corn, wheat and soybeans. You do not want meat products, or just the real meat! I guess all dogs prefer something different .. My daughter loves the chicken:)
