Pro Trajectory
In golf, you have different kinds of clubs. One type of club that you use is called a wood, and I’ll describe them a little for all you new golfers out there.
A wood is used to hit the ball long distances. Golfers use woods to hit the ball off tees when they tee off. The wood has a large, hollow head, and 150-175 yards away from the hole is usually the distance golfers gauge when to use a wood.
The 1-Wood club is called the Driver, depending on what you prefer, and it has the lowest loft out of all the clubs. What’s loft? It’s a word used to describe the club face’s angle, and it controls the balls trajectory, affecting its distance traveled. A driver’s loft is anywhere from seven degrees up to twelve degrees. Professional golfers typically prefer drivers with lower lofts, and this requires a lot of skill to use them, compared to beginners.
In recent times, many pro golfers have moved toward drivers with larger heads and higher lofts (ten and eleven degrees). They feel that the higher launch – combined with lower spin – can give them longer drives off the tee.
Golfers carry 3 and 5 woods with them as well.
The joke in all this is that “woods” aren’t even made of wood anymore! How nuts is that? They’re now made of metal. Why? Well, mainly the metal makeup allows golfers to have precisely molded metal for their clubs – something that is very difficult to do with woods, especially considering the desire for a low center of gravity for your club.

30-06 or 7mm rem mag?
I’ve decided on the browning x bolt stainless stalker and I was wondering which caliber I should get it in. I can shoot out to 400 to 600 yards and yes I would deffinately practice a lot so i can shoot and hit my target 100% of the time at that distance. which would you choose and what are some pros and cons of each cartridge.
I know that the 7mm has better trajectory but how much more difference does it have. and how far can you shoot the 30-06 before streching its limits.
I will be shooting antelope, deer and im taking a caribou hunting and an elk hunt in 2 years and probably more hunts after too.
At those distances, the big question here is ENERGY. At 400 yards, the 7MM Rem Mag has 1/3 more energy than the ’06, at 500 yards there is a 50% difference and at 600 yards the 30-06 is below 700 ft/bs of energy and would not be acceptable to use at that distance. As far as trajectory, you will need a chart for both due to the extreme amounts of drop at longer distances.
If you would be shooting consistently at those distances, I would also consider a .300 WinMag, UltraMag or ShortMag ~ MUCH better ballistics
