How can I create graph paper, using Photoshop, that can be printed out and used like regular graph paper?
I need to know how to create graph paper using Photoshop (and not Word, Excel, etc.). Why? Because I would like to create designer graph paper, so I’ll need to be editing the lines and background. I know I can create a grid and just draw the lines manually, but I’d like to know if there is a quicker method.
If you have Adobe Illustrator, you can just draw a box the size of the paper, and fill it with a custom fill. To make a custom fill pattern, Make a 1″ x 1″ box, and then add a horizontal and verticle line in the center. Should look like
4 squares now. Then shrink it down to the size you want, and select it, drag to fill swatches, and you know have a fill patttern that will mock graph paper. Once you fill the page size box, covert the lines (expand) and copy and paste paths into photoshop. Fill on a seperate layer. Walla
