Stiff Fuji

The following instructions will give you step by step assistance for clearing torn paper from the Automatic Document Feed (ADF) for the Samsung SCX -5312/15F. Never use sharp objects or metal tools to try to remove any sheets as this will damage essential components of the printing device.
When removing paper [A4] jammed in the ADF, small fragments can be torn off and left in the paper path, if not removed they will prevent paper from passing through the feed path.
The message ‘DOCUMENT JAM’ will appear on the control panel, the following steps should be followed to dislodge paper fragments.
STEP ONE
- Lift the ADF cover.
- Torn scraps of paper can remain in the paper path.
- If the paper is out of reach & cannot be removed, proceed to Step Two for an easy method to dislodge.
STEP TWO
- With the ADF Cover raised, insert a stiff weight of ‘board’ to push the torn paper through the paper path as demonstrated opposite.
- Raise the Document Feed Cover and rotate the knurled green wheel which will manually pull the ‘board’ through the paper path pushing the paper scrap through.
STEP THREE
With the Document Cover still raised the torn paper fragment should have become visible from the exit path.
Carefully ease the paper out without further tearing.
Handy Hint
Copying ‘light weight’ [GSM] or ‘mixed sized’ documents through the ADF, increases the chance of paper jams.
To prevent document jams occurring in the ADF, use the document scanner glass for light weight or mixed sized documents.

Should I get the Fuji Roubaix Pro or the Specialized Allez Elite Compact?
The Fuji is lighter and has a more agressive setup than the Specialized, but some people say the Fuji isn’t very stiff. The Specialized has full Shimano 105 components while the Fuji has 105/Ultegra mix. Both are about $1500.
The Fuji bike has a Carbon seatstays. Better technology compared to the Specialized. The carbon seatstays help dampen the road vibrations as Carbon absorbs vibrations really well without loosing the stiffness.
The Specialized doesn’t have carbon seatstays, which is cheaper to do for the manufacturer.
Alloy frames tend to rattle and chatter while riding. Way to solve this is they put a carbon fork and seatpost. Fuji also did this too.
The Fuji is a 105 groupset but instead of a 105 rear derailleur, they add a Ultegra rear derailleur. Ultegra better in reliability and weight.
The Specialized has a cheaper crankset. It’s just called a Shimano Compact. Meaning it isn’t even a 105, or Tiagra and Sora. (These two names are lower quality than 105)
The Fuji has a FSA integrated crankset, so it should be better than the Specialized crankset.
Hands down the Fuji wins. It offers a better drivetrain, better frame (meaning the Carbon seatstays). That alone is already 3-5 steps more the trouble and advanced for Fuji than it is for Specialized.
They both are in the same price range so it’s even a better bargain.
