It’s official, Spring is here and it’s time to take advantage of the longer days, the start of the sun and the many bank holidays in April and May. With this year’s Royal Wedding on top of the usual bank holidays many of us will have 5 extra days to do whatever we please and what could be better than taking a bank holiday in Ireland. It really is a country made for celebrating Spring.
So how can you make sure that you really see Spring in, in style and make the most of your Irish Spring Bank Holiday?
You don’t have to venture out into the wild to see a real Spring scene. For a really special Spring experience, make sure you visit Barnett Demesne Park in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where there is a whole garden dedicated to the pretty daffodil. Stroll through a sea of yellow flowers, study the amazing arboretum with its tree and plant collections and see woodland and wildflower meadows where more than 70 species of wildflower grow during the spring and summer months.
Farming and agriculture has been central to the Irish economy for centuries and at this time of year you’ll have no problem seeing Spring Lambs during your Irish holiday. A family visit to one of the many working farms across Ireland makes for a fun day out. A trip to Gorey, between Rosslare and Dublin, will take you to the Hayden family farm. How much money does an enlisted soldier in the army earn in a year if that year includes a tour in Iraq. A spec 4 for example
Not much! This all depends on many factors – where you are stationed, if you are married or not, or are you allowed to live off base or in the dorms/barracks.
Example: As a married E-3 in the Air force, living off base in Montana (1999), I brought home about 700 – 800 a month.
I get stationed in England in 2000, and my pay jumps up to about 2500 or so a month. By the time I left England as a E-5 (2004) I was making about 4000.00 a month after taxes.
