How much does everything in your golf bag cost?

I take golf seriously and I’m willing to pay the price for the clubs that work best for me. I didn’t think anything of it to buy a set of X-22 irons, an FTiQ driver, hyper X fairway woods, Cobra Baffler TWS hybrids (3,4) titleist spin-milled wedges (54, 60) and a Cleveland classic 2 putter. I play Pro VIx 2008s.

Total retail price: ~$3500
What I paid: ~$1950

First, am I a lunatic for getting all this stuff?
Second, what do you play and how much did you pay?
Well, I’m not a label whore, as such.

I like the bafflers because I find it very easy to hit a draw with them. The putter because I line up under the shaft and there’s amazing feedback. Et cetera.
I find clone clubs to be less precise in terms of grind, loft, consistency, et cetera. But if they work for you, great. It would be nice. :)

You aren’t a lunatic. Its normal to spend lots of money for nice sporting equipment if you take the sport very seriously. As long as you can afford the equipment its not crazy to spend that kind of money.

Heck, when I was in high school most baseball gloves cost between $80-$100. I owned a $120 fielders glove and a $200 catchers mitt.

As far as my golf equipment, I’m not that serious of a golfer and I don’t have that kind of money to spend. I paid $300 for a set of custom fit non-name brand Irons. $30 for a putter. I played with irons only for a year, then paid $70 for a used 4-wood. After 2 years of only driving the ball 200-220 yards (with the 4-wood) I finally bought a $200 driver.

All together I have about $600 worth of clubs in my bag. I got the bag on clearance for $60 and I use old golf balls I find in the woods, although I’ve been getting frustrated with mix & match balls and I’m currently looking to buy some decent new ones, just not sure what yet.
